For recording, it's not really an issue for MixEmergency, as MixEmergency uses a unique recording system that doesn't actually record video, but instead records what the videos are doing, what effects are on, where the faders are, etc. This is a lot less information than recording individual video frames, and doesn't require complex compression - so it puts almost no additional strain on your computer.
