Why video freeze during mixing

Currently I've been experiencing alot of glitch freezing during mixing either with recording or out in clubs trying figure out what is the issue my current specs are 2011 mackbook pro 2.0 i7 16gb Pioneer DDJ-SZ

Are you playing the files from an internal or external hard-drive? And, can you tell me about the files you're playing? Are they HD? Did you encode them yourself, or did you get them from a Video Pool?

Same problem here, I even deactivated ALL of the transitions I made myself. Using a 15" late 2013 Macbook Pro 2.3 GHZ Intel Core I7 16GB of RAM & 2GB VRAM Last night it froze & I had to force quit. Transitions are set to random. The next transition was "Flash" Playing HD file from Smash Vidz (which I've never had problems with before) I believe Callen spoke to you about problems with transitions I've made, but this problem is happening even with some stock ME transitions.

Can you send me the crash log?

Nick, there's no Crash log, I force quit the app since it froze. I looked in my folder /Users/[your_user_name]/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MixEmergency.crash.log and there was no log.

seang, if you copy a bunch of files onto your internal drive and use them to test with, do you still get the same problems?

When I enter into the internal I do not have the freezing issue

When I enter the videos into the internal hard drive I do not have the freezing issue

I've still have the freeze a lil not as much as before i was thinking I needed to raise the gb and go from hd to ssd my current specs are 2012 macbook pro 2.3ghz i7 8gb 500hd but my files are on a 2tb wd passport

As far as your specs look, I think that they should be more than enough (especially the RAM, 8 GB is quite a lot).

if your 2tb WD is USB3 it should be OK
