Random effects turn on automatically

I do not use any effects on videos but do have some effects on videos that are stored in media bank. From time to time some of the effects will automatically turn on when i load videos on either deck A or B. It seems that it sometimes happens after an mp3 is played and one of the vid, that has a effect on it, from the media bank is loaded. I know that the effect is not saved to an actual video or anything as i can play that same video the next night and the effect is not automatically turned on. What can i check to make sure that this doesnt happen

Check in the Preferences to see that the Load and Save video effect options are disabled. Is it possible that the same video is getting loaded twice? There is a feature to copy across the effect settings whenever a video is doubled.
