Possible to auto play media bank files when a music video is loaded?

Hello - I am doing a gig that requires just visuals (loops from the media bank) and not music videos. But I would still like to be able to play my .mp4 video files, but just for the audio. I'd like to still be able to use have the crossfader controlling the visuals, and use mixer fx as well. This would kind of be the opposite of the setting "When an unlinked file is loaded: Load Media from the Media Bank" except in this case i'm looking for a feature that behaves more like this: "When a LINKED file is loaded: Load media from the media bank" This way, i can load a music video, but have a media bank file appear on the screen automatically. What hardware are you using? If you're using something that you can MIDI map, and don't mind about whether the video loops follow the position of the audio, then you could just set MixEmergency to be in the MixEmergency controlled mode (instead of the Serato DJ/Scratch Live mode). Then, map the fader and hi/mid/low/filter/fx controls to the Mixer FX section.

If you want the video to follow the play position - then you'll need to load the videos manually from the Media Bank (which you can map to a MIDI controller if you have one).

Thanks Nick. What is the function/button I should midi map to load media files onto a deck? Usually I just drag and drop. I am using a Rane 62.

If you're using Serato DJ, you can map any of the buttons. I'm not certain of exactly how to do so, but if you go into one of the other MIDI layers, I would just recommend mapping the cue/sample buttons.
