Mix Emergency Settings

Hi, I got a new Macbook Pro and I am trying to figure out where the settings for ME are stored so that I can copy them from the old machine. I know I saw a thread about this before, but I've been searching and can't find it anywhere! I've copied the entire ~/Movies folder, but that didn't do it for me. Jason

There are 2 things you will want to copy across. The first is the folder located at: ~/Movies/MixEmergency/ The second, is the Preferences file, which is located at: ~/Library/Preferences/com.inklen.MixEmergency.plist You may not be able to see the Library folder though (it's hidden by default), so to navigate to it, go to the Finder, and in the menu bar go to: Go -> Go to Folder... Enter the text: ~/Library And push the Go button.

Thanks. So here's the next question. I have a time machine backup of the old computer... and when i navigate it, the personal library (under my user folder) is MIA. What settings am I losing in that plist? Please don't tell me midi mappings, or i'm jumping off this building :) Jace

The folder will be there, just hidden. Use the Go to Folder function, and then enter the path in your Time Machine backup + /Library

Thanks, Nick! That worked. In order to show the folders that are hidden, you can also run this in terminal: $ defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE $ killall Finder When you're done, you can change back to FALSE.. Last thing... I need to know where to get my auth code.
