Hey Guys, ive just purchased ME and im a little confused on a couple things, Ill also note that i'm brand new to this whole Video thing so pleas bare with me... 1. Preset Tab 1 (Effects), what effects is it reffering to? And how do I load them in the empty banks? 2. How/What are Video Overlays? And how would I use them in a set? 3. Where is a good place to find some stock QC Overlay until I can figure out how to build them? 4. Parameters 1 & 2, what is the purpose of these windows? 5. Is it possible to have more than 1 preset window open? Like one for Transitions, and another for Effects. 6. Is it possible to use my Dicers to run the tabs and bank for the presets? Thanks for the help, im looking forward to learning this whole vid thing!

That's a lot of questions, so if you need any further depth to these responses, just ask... 1) There's a section at the bottom of the manual page for the Presets Window that describes how to save an effect preset: http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/presetswindow/ Essentially you just dial in the settings for the effect you want and then save this to a free slot. The only "trick" is to make sure that you're saving the correct effect (A/B/Mid). 2) Video Overlays allow you to use a camera as an input to MixEmergency (e.g. the iSight camera on your MacBook). 3) I'm not really familiar with any great sources that are built specifically for MixEmergency. 4) Those windows are for published inputs from Quartz Compositions loaded to either channel or the overlay section. 5) No - you can only see one at a time. 6) Yes - you can map them to increment/decrement the tabs.

If you have a Quartz Composition, it's possible to have some extra data fed into these. For example, you could have a input splitter that you set to be of the type Number withe to range 0.0-80.0. You the publish this to have some name "MyInputNumber". When you load this into MixEmergency, this will show up in the Parameters window as a slider so that you can manipulate this parameter within MixEmergency.
