3 decks for ME?

I've been on VSL for over a year now and am happy with the way it works to a degree, but now i have an SL3 and 3 deck audio possibilities, i was wondering if this would be possible with ME at some point to have three video decks? I've a mac unibody which handles VSL without a glitch, so would 3 decks be too much for the graphics card? I've a 9800GT with 2.62 GHz core duo and 4gigs of ram... If i want to play audio on the third channel, a black screen is no use to me..

I think that 3 decks is definitely a possibility now with the faster CPUs available. How would you expect the three decks to be mixed together?

Ahh cool, well currently I use a dim 800 to mix video via midi control. The third deck could be assigned to an upfader to bring the image in. You could also select or 'link' the channels that you want associated with the cross fader... If needs be, the third deck could be a stripped down version of the other two decks initially (special effect wise) to let computer CPUs handle it all safely, and just play the video normally

Just to chip in, what about, putting the third deck as a video overlay. Just a suggestion.

That sounds like a great first step, anything for starters that takes care of the video on the third channel would be perfect.

I'd really love a video overlay channel. Make it exactly the same as the image overlay only allow video with a alpha channel. I'm currently using a .MOV file with alpha and it works fine on a Globalstream Globecaster.
