Is it possible to midi map the fader on the Pioneer djm 5000 to the fader in mix emergency? if so . How do I do it. Thanks

I have not tried this mixer, but according to the manual it should work. The manual specifies that the mixer will send a MIDI control change message from the crossfader (via USB). So, to map the fader, you need to: 1. Connect the mixer to your computer via USB 2. Hold down the option/alt key on your computer and click MixEmergency's crossfader 3. Move the crossfader on the mixer

I also have use a djm 800 and that worked great the midi maping was very simple. But the djm 5000 is not as easy. are there any midi channel numbers I need to know about for ME to get it to work. the manual say something about USB-MIDI channel settings, is this of any importance to me?

Can you try this little app: http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ and see what it outputs when you move the DJM 5000's crossfader?

Im not sure why the DJM 5000 was acting goofy at first, but after giving it a rest for a while and going back to it, it worked fine. The midi mapping worked just like you would do it on the DJM 800 like you explained, but make sure the midi switch is set to on....1. Connect the mixer to your computer via USB 2. Hold down the option/alt key on your computer and click MixEmergency's crossfader 3. Move the crossfader on the mixer. worked fine for me the second time around. So I guess you can add the Pioneer DJM 5000 to the list of mixers that work with Mix Emergency. Thanks for your help.
