Crossfader linking issue with Pioneer DDJ-SR and ME with Serato DJ

I upgraded my ME version as soon as you announced the support for Serato DJ. Everything seems to work when i plugged in a Pioneer DDJ-SR controller, except i was not able to have control with the crossfader. I kept having to manually fade my videos. Is there a step that i may have overlooked to link/map the crossfader for use with Serato DJ that differs from how i use it with my turntables and Rane 62 mixer with Scratch Live?

Which version of Serato DJ are you using?

I just checked and I see that version 1.6.0 is available. I will go update and try things out. Is this likely the cause?

Done, Updated to 1.6.0 and the crossfader works fine. :)

Im using 1.6 Serato DJ and ME 2.4 and i still have to open up Serato video first before the crossfader will be recognized on my DDJ SX. Does something need to be reinstalled?

Are you using the public version of 1.6, or are you using one of the early beta versions?

I have the same problem with the ns7 and mix emergency, i cant link the crossfader and both software are update, need help :( thank you

Do you also have Serato Video installed? I'm curious to know if it's working with this too?

hy i'm having somme problems with the mapping of the faders and crossfader on my ddi sx to me using the latest version of serato dj1.6 and me2.4, when i start both softwares up the faders are not mapped , i tried to map the manually but they are jumping all over the place, i have read about this issue in this post and tried everything from deleting the autosave.xml file to change it manually () but when i do this and reopen ME it automatically modifies the value 31 to 0 :( . please help

Do you also have Serato Video installed? I would see if it's working here first. If you've unmapped/unlinked the faders in Serato Video, then they won't work in MixEmergency either.

Ok - and while this is working, it's not working in MixEmergency (after you've unmapped the faders). Can you take a screenshot of your MixEmergency windows (in particular, the Control window, where the faders are)?

Ok - that looks fine (though the right upfader isn't linked). If you go into the Preferences of MixEmergency, to the Transition section, are "Use External Controller Crossfader" and "Use External Controller Upfaders" enabled?

ok that was it , those functions weren't enabled . now that i enabled them everything works like a charm. thanks a lot Nick. I'm a happy user now. trying to figure out all the other functions of the software , searching for good tutorials now. Thx again
