output to square led screens

hey guys, i'll be spinnin' at a new club this friday outputting for the first time my m.e. output signal to the club's square led screens. the club's tech guy said something about he won't be able to change the video format of the screens (don't know about that, but i gotta believe him since the club is too far away to check before friday). what would be the best / easiest way to output my 4:3 and 16:9 vids to that square format led screens without scretching the vids? any input is greatly appreciated. greetz, scorp

It depends what you want to happen to your videos in terms of cropping. I would use either the Fit or Letterbox scaling modes (the second will give you black bars at the top/bottom of the screen though).

okay, got cha ... do i have to use the advanced output feature, too?

No, not necessarily. I would avoid using it if you can at first, and just play with the scaling options instead.

okay, thx for your input ... however, i wasn't even able to get that far (at least this time) to test & try anything since the club's tech guy was on vacation and the other guys weren't able / allowed to change anything as far as video-setup ... so audio-only this time. -_-
