So you where looking for Ideas on how to make it better what else we want to see. Well you have added some amazing new effects features and I would love to see them added to the media bank. Everyone wants to see a larger media bank, but how it would work and what should be different. Here is my idea: Firstly, The bank should be bigger. I'm thinking 40 clips, but it would be nice to have the size and shape changeable to match up to midi controller. 4x4, 5x8 and 8x8 (MPDs, and apc's) but also a couple of generic sizes like 2x10, 1x10, 5x10 (but no more than 50 clips max) And as always independently resizable is always awesome. So it doesnt each up massive screen space. Now that we have a bigger bank is that enough..... Nope we want pages of banks :) so we can have pages for different moods, or events. 10 pages would be enough. You would only work with clips on any given page. any ideas to follow would only apply to that page. Each page would always be the same size so if setup a 5x8 (which i think is the best size if you can only make it one size) all pages would be the same size(unless it was easy to customize each page) Now if you like me you load in short VJ clips into your media bank. Well a beeple clips looks amazing for 30 seconds, it repeating 4-15 times is not so cool. It get boring. The effect sequencer helps with that but not enough. We I want clips to change and fade into each other. a 2 second auto fade, even a basic fad would be great. If you could make a list of fader options that could be picked from or a random just like the crossfader that would be best. And like everything else in ME being able to customize the list would be the cats ass.\ Now we got clips fading one to the next one, when and how would they mix. Well the most obvious way would be to have ME automatically at the end of a clip fade to the next one. How long would it take for the fade? Well a drop down menu with a list of options that are always applied would be perfect, so instant (no Mix), 1 sec, 2, 3,4,5. 5 seconds would be the max I think needed. But since you have the beat grid lets not let it go to waste. you could also set how many beats 1,2,4,8. (no more than 8 beats) if seconds doesn't work for you. Well lets keep going with the beat grids. You have clips mixing at there end. Lets take this media bank and make it uber powerful!!!! Now have a setting to change clips instead of at the end of the clip, to a set number of bars. so every 1 bar, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. This count would restart at the beginning of the new clips start of playback (so the mix of 8 beats would be included in this timing). Some clips will be shorter than well any of those timings so clips would loop until there set time is reached. I'm so excited just thinking about this! Imagine where VJs would go with a media bank like that is in tune with the music! changing on beat looking like a live VJ was doing it all. I would pay for an upgrade of that size to the media bank. Hell I would do all I could to make it happen!!!! If you can make that happen, could you make some sort of MIDI out signal based off the beat grid info? I could recreate something like this using resolume syphoned back into ME. The kicker is your beatgrids. Nothing else can get info like that from serato and using it in a new media bank would really turn heads! Hell after all that you would be capable of using ME standalone as a visuals player also! Please nick make it happen!!!! I'm dieing to find away to get visuals more in tune with tracks playing that dont have video. Help me Obi Wan Nick, you our only hope!
