Recording From ME Alone - No Audio Only Video

I'm lost on this one.... Running ME v2.3.1 with a MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and 8 GB RAM. I would like to record video with it's audio through ME, but I can't figure out why it's not. I've verified the video has audio with it as I've played it through Serato Scratch Live. Please advise. Thank you.

Any video I play with ME as a standalone will not play the audio. I've even deselected Scratch Live and selected MixEmergency from the top right of ME's panel...and still no audio.

MixEmergency is not an audio application - it does video only.
