Thanks for the reply Nick. What might be a cool way of implementing this is to have videos shorter than 30 seconds (maybe make the exact time user-definable) treated as a "loop", and longer videos treated as a "one-shot". For a variety of reasons, I really prefer the screen to go black at the end of a video if I (accidentally or deliberately) don't crossfade to another video.
