video not playing in right deck....

ok guys, i been havin this problem more than i care for, i would click and drag a file from the left deck to the right, and start matching up the two songs, just because u cant use the reverse crossfader... well when i do that the song plays, but the video doesnt.. someone please explain whats going on so this doesnt happen again.... kind of gettin irritating

Are you using the TTM 57SL? I think you should be able to use the crossfader reverse on that. I haven't seen or heard of this sort of problem before. Does it do this every time you drag a song from the left deck to the right deck? What version of Scratch Live are you using? I'll see if I can reproduce this.

i used 1.9.2 and it has happened.. and i have used 2.0 beta and it has happened it has happened with sl-1 and then it happened last night with ttm 57sl

I've spent a while trying to reproduce this problem but haven't managed to find anything. Will have another quick look through the code that manages the loading. Just to be completely clear: it is video files that you are dragging from the left to right deck (in Scratch Live) and not just audio files?

Also, the next time it happens, can you try to note the particular file you were playing?

yeah.. this past time it happened it was that michael jackson-beat it9blsiters remix0 i got it off of 8thwonder. all im doing is clickin the left deck and dragging over to the right deck... i will match the beats, and then switch over, at some point i realize that the video is not playing but the song is. and yes its video =] not just an mp3. i dont use mp3s anymore

Im having the same problem too periodically. I trigger the same video over to the right deck and the screen stays blank. I try to reload the song in the right deck and still blank. If I load a different song in the right deck it plays. MBP 17 1-7 ssl 2.1. This happens at least once every gig. I personally mix in from the left deck then double up to the right deck.

Thanks for the bug report. I've had another look through the code here and can't reproduce this. How often are you gigging? (you said that you're able to reproduce it at every gig) If you're able to get this consistantly, then I might be able to add some extra debugging output to our log file and see if that gives us any further clues as to why this is happening.

Yes I can reproduce this. Info panel states media not loaded. I think serato term is instant double. I run very first video on right deck which is on internal. I mix in with my left deck. Once I mix in the left song I instant double to the right deck and go back to the left deck for the next song while right deck is playing. Seems once I double the second song the right deck gets sound but no visual. I have tried ejecting and re trying etc with no fix. I did find a solution by having ssl on auto play letting the right deck play out and it doubles up when the song is complete showing video and sound. on both decks. Im not sure if this is a bug or not. Second week with m.e. Last couple of gigs worked like a dream no problems. Just a small lag time when instant doubling. the above was noticed on a couple of songs but once through them worked fine. Couple of extra things going on too when this happens. Right deck on dicers in a loop with effects engaged. Tried with no extras same thing. Set up is new 17mbp i-7 2x2, 57sl 2.1, dicers, 2 tb toshiba external hd. Possibly a couple of bad files. I will know for sure by the end of this weekend. Nick sweet program. I was told time and again to purchase this and kept putting it off. Now im beating myself for not getting M.E. sooner.
