Scratch Live Dicontinued, will ME work with the new SERATO DJ ?

Scratch Live is now schedule to be discontinued. The only software that will remain is SERATO DJ. Starting in October 2013, we will be able to use Serato DJ (new version: 1.5) with our scratch live hardware (SL2, SL3 and SL4). So what is going to happen with MixEmergency ?

No Ruckus helped for Serato DJ et Mixemergency... It helped for Scratch Live when they made it unavailable for one update. And i do believe they let it back again, they knew at this point that SSL will be ending anyway... But M.E won't survive long if djs have to pay for it and then have to do some illegal tricks to make it work because SSL won't exist anymore. We can't stick to SSL just for fun... After 2015, SSL won't be supported anymore. So what are INKLEN plans here ?

Hey guys, the eventual retiring of Scratch Live isn't a surprise, I've been in talks with Serato about this for quite some time now. As for Serato DJ compatibility, I can't talk about this in too much detail, but I am (and have been) in contact with them about this, and feel positive that we can find a way forward. In the meantime, Scratch Live will continue to be supported by Serato for quite some time yet (though I'm sure a lot of you will want to get your hands on Serato DJ as soon as possible).

Hello Nick i just asked the question on Serato forum today and here is the Serato team answer: Quote: ME: Not supported for the moment or forever ? If the answer is Not supported anymore Is VIDEO-SL WILL be improved to match ME level ? Serato: Not supported, and no plans to support Mix Emergency. Yes, we plan to continue to improve Serato Video :)

@nick can you give us any details of future plans regarding DJ? I own 2 video sl licenses and ME is my go to video plug in I hate SL and its lag for high res videos!!!

@djjeanmaron, that comment is correct, there are no concrete plans as such yet to allow MixEmergency compatibility, but I am in contact and discussions with Serato about it. The person who made that comment may or may not be aware of this. @controversial, I can't really give you any details of future plans yet, I'm sorry.

Hi Nick, Thank you very much for your transparency, I can easily understand that thing can be revelaled and some must stay private. BUt I appreciate that you confirm being in touch with serato team. It at least mean that you're trying....and i can't exepct more from a company I kind of invest in by purchasing his product.

Just an FYI I ran SDJ 1.5 with ME at my gig last night with the same hack that's worked in previous versions. No problems at all.
