Hello AV brothers. i'm using with SL3 with ME: i can get audio out of Serato no probs, but i want to have audio coming from MixEmergency mediabank picked files instead. The mediabank in ME is a great way of triggering clips with midi, But there's no sound!? whats up? Any uber nerdz out there help a brother out? love you bye. TokyoSexWhale

MixEmergency doesn't have any audio output - it's video only.

Ok, but then should i be able to hear audio in SL3 from clips triggered in ME2? When i trigger from the mediabank with midi i get nothing via either app. what gives?

No, you'll only hear audio playing in Scratch Live, nothing from MixEmergency.

No. Only audio played in Scratch Live will come through the SL3. You're not playing the clips through Scratch Live, you're playing them through MixEmergency - so no audio will come out of anywhere.

Since the triggered ME2 clips still have vinyl control from SL3 this is a massive missed opportunity. SL3 sucks at triggering, ME2' mediabank's handy midi-mapping means you could circumvent using SL3 directly - ( if the audio played out correctly ) I was thinking you could just run a dummy file in SL3 (a blank aif/wav file) Under the current system you basically have to physically use 2 apps at the same time, ball ache. So i just end up using ME as a conduit into Resolume or Arkaos. Then fumble around in SL3 loading scratch vids (while resolume does its thing under Ableton control) Boo!
