why cant i get the effects view to work?

Are you able to open and see the Control Window? ( http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/controlwindow/ ) If so, what is in the left/right sides?

Ok, if you can see the Control Window, what is in the left and right "tabs"? If possible, could you send me a screen grab of your Control Window? It'll make it easier to understand exactly what is happening. The MP4 problem sounds like something completely different. Could you please start a new discussion or send me an e-mail about it so that this discussion does not become too confusing.

I believe the default short-cut to grab the entire screen is apple-shift-3. Or, you could also just take a screen-grab of the Control Window by pushing apple-shift-4, then push the space key to put it into "window" mode, and then click on the Control Window. Each of these will put a new image named Picture.png (or Picture 2/3/4/etc) into your Desktop folder.

Thanks - that makes it a lot clearer! The Effect control tab is the secondary tab on the left, right and middle panels. ( on this page: http://www.inklen.com/mixemergency/manual/controlwindow/ you can see the "Transport View" and the "Effect View" ) So, to get to the "Effects View" you need to click on the second tab (the tabs are to the right of the "fast forward" buttons on the left and right views). If you still can't figure it out let me know and I'll make a quick video. I'm just popping out for 4-5 hours now, so apologies if my next replies are delayed.

you know.. this is the first time that i messsed with the efx tab. and it totally kicks ass, makes some of these older videos look new! thnx for the hard work! now u guys gotta kill VSL with the text/images options that they brought to the table. i been beggin them to step it up, but their focus is somewhere else.. keep the transitions coming and improve the text features.. and i think u guys will have the perfect product!!

i guesss the only thing u guys can add now is a second effects tab =] that way u can layer effects(it'll never stop huh? hahaha)

Cool - good to hear you figured it out, and glad you like it - we have some really hot new effects plug-ins that should be coming out soon. Haha - yeah, the pile of feature requests for MixEmergency just gets bigger and bigger.... and we can only implement them at a certain pace (depending on how well we think they fit into what we have planned - and we have some fairly huge features planned for future versions). It is currently possible to layer effects by applying them to both the currently playing channel effect slot and the output (post-transition) effect slot.

hey i had a crash tonight.. i clicked and drag a song from left deck to the right deck, and then i hit the space bar while too minimize the screen and crashed as well... this only happened when i had ME on. i tried doin the same thing with VSL, and no crash. i was using 2.0, but the same thing happened last week when i was using 1.9.2

If you go into your user folder, then go to /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ Just send me any files beginning with MixEmergency that are in that folder.
