Nick The two easiest ways would be to purchase an external audio interface, or to record within Scratch Live (though this will require that you edit and sync the audio back into the video post-export from MixEmergency).
Nick That's a good question... I can't say I've done much research into what is available at the moment.
owenbizzle i am pretty sure that you audio out is also and audio input, you just need to goto system preferences and change it to input rather than output!! its the same on the 13in macbook pros from 3 years ago
mastak07 I use M.E, Arena, a Rane 68 and SL3 box for the sound. To record I use ScreenFlow4 and select the SL3 as my sound input Here is a mix I did not long ago recording this way :) http://vimeo.com/channels/djmastak/59834917
