Jittery waveforms on serato 2.4.3 when using ME 2.2

Hi guys Been away from video DJ-ing for a while but went back to it at the weekend there and forgot how much I enjoyed it. I was using SSL with serato video and I must admit worked flawlessly, however I purchased ME bout 2 years ago and always loved using it so thought I'd upgrade to ME 2.2 today and start using it again. I have 1 issue that possibly Nick or anyone can help with, when I am playing a video in serato via ME the waveforms are very very jittery and the performance isn't great, looks and feels like a bit of a delay almost. I'm using a brand new (non retina display) MacBook Pro with mountain lion (if that's the latest os) and SSL 2.4.3 (just updated couple of weeks ago). There's a 500gb hd 4 gb of ram and all videos have been purchased from promo only or smash vidz, vj pro or whatever they are called now. I'm also using a TTM57, again I'm only getting the really jittery waveform when using ME when I turn it off and go back to Serato video the waveforms are fine and everything back to normal. I really hope I can get a fix for this as I wanna start using ME again Please Help! Cheers guys Dave

What Mac OS version are you using? What dimensions do you have your external screen set to? (e.g. 1920x1080, 800x600, etc) Also make sure that no MixEmergency window is covering any moving part of Scratch Live (e.g. the waveforms, spinning deck indicators, etc), as this can help.

Hi nick Thanks for the reply, I'm using Mountain Lion so think that's 10.6.8? It's the latest os anyway as it's a brand new MBP 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5. I'm using a small pc screen not sure what the resolution is though sorry but it's only 15" monitor. I'm not covering any of the moving parts in serato either. Hope this helps Dave

Just to add to this nick the video plays fine, no jittering on screen only the waveforms in serato are affected..

Just double checked and it's definitely 10.6.8 and I have 8gb of ram and not 4gb sorry.

Ok, cool. The latest public Mac OS version is 10.8.2. This version has some major improvments with regards to graphics performance. I wouldn't recommend using an older version (e.g. 10.6.8) on this new computer. You could also try to reduce the Quality slider in MixEmergency to 50% (it's in the Display tab of MixEmergency's preferences). I assume that you have Serato Video set to Medium quality, or something similar?

Sorry Nick I gave you some wrong info, I have a brand new mac (which i havent tried with ME yet) but it wasn't this one I was using sorry it was the older one (duh) hence the 10.6.8 os but it does have 8gb ram and 500gb hd but all videos playing off external. Yeah I have serato video and I think it is on medium quality, ill double check. Ill also give the suggestion a go of reducing the quality slider to 50% and report back to you. Ill do it tomorrow as its 3.50am Monday and I should be sleeping a long time ago lol. Thanks for your help ill report back ASAP Dave
