djaarone Hi there. I loaded all the Quartz files that I got with the Mix Emergency.DMG file yesterday, they all worked and I adjusted the "mix" on each one. I know they saved because I closed ME and re-opened several times. Today, I booted up the Mac and I cannot get any of the Quartz files to load (display) Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I tried re-loading a couple of the Quartz files and saving them but they aren't displaying. Sincerely!! Aaron E DJ AARON E aaron@djaarone.com facebook.com/djaarone
Nick Did you load them directly from the Disk Image (DMG file)? The file would have become unmounted when you rebooted.
djaarone Yes, I dragged and dropped each one into the Q.C. Overlays Presets, adjusted the "mix" on and saved each one individually. a Little earlier today, I noticed it began working fine... Now, I just booted up and it's not working again. Aaron
djaarone AUH!! I see, the only way the Q.C Overlays are working is when I open up the .DMG file. Is there a way to have it kick-started without having to launch the Mix Emergency.DMG file each time? Thanks in advance! Aaron
Nick Yeah - you need to copy the QTZ files into a folder on your hard drive (though, you'll have to save the presets again).
djaarone Should they go on my external hard drive (?) Thats my baby... I don't keep anything on my laptop. I do maintain exact duplicates of my hard drive. Do I make a folder called "Quartz Compositions" ? Perhaps they have to reside on my computer? Aaron
Nick You can put them anywhere you want. Might be best to keep them on your internal drive - but it's up to you.
