Good day to you Nick !!! will MixEmergency work with this controller? The DDJ-SX seem to be really cool and it would be nice if we could maximize it by using MixEmergency with it.

MixEmergency only supports compatibility with Scratch Live. But yes, I believe it is a general MIDI device - so you will be able to map it to MixEmergency.

One last question, So with Serato Video are there plans for mixemergency to work in that venue? Meaning are you restricted to just scratch live period as they no longer support it or will they let mixemergency in at some point or are there talks.... as you can see I am digging. :)

I want to post this video on the serato forum but i fear that serato will beak DJ so it doesnt work.

Has anyone noticed the x-fader kinda stuttering when mapped to ME? I'm not sure if this has been a problem since I mapped it to the SX since day 1 or if it's a new problem. I deleted the mapping in ME and then "re-learned" the mapping again but the problem is still there. just FYI, there's no audio bleed but when I slide the x-fader side to side, but the on screen x-fader in ME stutters thus also causing my transitions to stutter as well.

Enable Serato Video and open up the video window. Then it will map the fader properly. You then disable the serato video. check out my video

I actually fixed it before I saw your reply disbjohn. I did so just by accident. I unmapped and remapped the crossfader a few times and finally I ended up with a smooth crossfader again. Very strange indeed.

I have watched the videos and moved the files it says move, and still cant get ME to pick up the DDJsx stuff. I am at a loss here. There is no real "how to" guide on this. I read another post that said to load up Osculator and change the midi channel but i cant seem to figure that out either. Cant seem to make it pick up the DDJ. Can someone make a quick step guide on how to make this work? I would love to get the new ME 2.2 working. I did get the free Serato Video but hell, been on ME since 1.0 and dont want to go to Serato Video Im gonna keep trying but its taking longer then expected Thanks

I am running Mountain Lion (10.8.2) on a MacBookPro9,1. I have Serato DJ 1.1.1 and updated to the latest DDJ-SX Firmware ver.1.02. I have MixEm 2.1.0. I followed all these instructions to a tee, even the update about copying the extra files over for 1.1, and I still cannot get MixEm to read Serato DJ for the life of me. Serato DJ will launch under the false name "Scratch LIVE" and loads up fine, but no communication b/t the two. Did the loophole really close with Serato DJ 1.1? THIS. BLOWS.

no. it still works. One you get it installed, and files moved over, here is what you have to do Launch ME Next, launch SeratoDJ, you must go to "Setup" and enable the SeratoVideo Plugin, then click setup again to take you back to the main screen. Then click on the Video button at top , this will launch SeratoVideo, but it will link your crossfader for ME. Once your crossfader is working, you can then click the Video button again to turn off SeratoVideo, and then go back to setup to disable the SeratioVideo in there.. So, now that is over, your ME should be working with the faders all working too

Just bought one of these. Once I do the ME fix will I also need to move those files back when using SSL and ME when Im not using the controller, Serato DJ, and ME?

i've been using ME for awhile with my SX. its been working great, with no issues. last night, about an hour into my set. the crossfader locked up and was no longer mapped with ME. totally weird. i tried a reboot, etc, but the fader still does not work. i didnt change any settings, was using it like i do everyday. any thoughts on this anyone?

i have no need to upgrade to the new me. will the hack work on the old me? I have a friend that thinks you have to have the new me to get it to work:(

So I wrote the question above late at night half asleep...it's probably clear as mud. To clarify, I was wondering if I would be able to easily bounce back to Scratch Live/ME after doing the modification without having to move files back and forth. Sometime I am on the Pioneer DJ-SSX and sometime on a setup with a Rane SL4. I just did the DJ SSX mod and it worked great. Then I tried to use SSL and no dice. I found a solution though. I'm not a techy so I don't know why it works, but it does. (mac) Move Serato DJ and SSL out of applications folder. I moved mine to the desktop. If you drag them they will only make a copy/shortcut. To make a move so they are not left in the applications folder then drag and hold down the command key(thanks DJ Kingpin for that tip). Do the SSX/ME mod thats in the link above posted by djlennyc. Then download SSL and install as you normally would. Now you should have SSL that works in the application folder and the SeratoDJ/SSL/ME mod on your desktop that works with the SSX.
