djrage I was wondering if I can use my gopro camera instead of the laptop camera when showing the camera view in me? I searched but didn't see that anyone asked about this already.
Nick I'm not sure what streaming outputs the Gopro has... is it HDMI? If so, you'd need to run it into some sort of video capture device first.
djrage Hey Nick. I can do hdmi or composite with it but was wondering since it has a usb out if I connected it to my mac would I be able to work with it in ME that way?
Nick I don't think it does streaming over USB... but it may do (I'm not really that familiar with that camera myself).
jsgwiz I Think by using the app "Camera Live" you can use the Hero3. This app was made to access Canon DSLRs from the USB port
djpoproxxx_duplicate What about this: http://www.pionpion.fr/electronique-informatique-diy/mac-os-x-app-pour-gopro-hero2-wifi-bacpac-hero3/ Or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg-T2Hf6LXM I notice you have to connect your computer wifi to the device, which I don't like, since I make an ADHOC for lemur on iPad/iPhone to talk to the Mac. Just wondering if anyone with a gopro has tried these or anything else that would help make the gopro a wifi streaming webcam. It's an amazing camera that would be awesome to use if it could actually work somewhat like Mobiola (which I already use). But I'm not dropping $300-$400 just to try this and it not work how I want it to.
