No picture?

I am having a problem getting a picture on my screen. Im using a Mini Display Port to VGA. When I plug it into a computer monitor it works fine. But when I plug it into a PC to Video Component it's not showing a picture. I know that box works because other DJ's have used it. Any idea why I'm not getting a picture? Do I have to have the settings changed?

I'm using a 2012 (June) MacBook Pro with a TTM 57, MixEmergency 2.0 and Serato 2.3.3

If you give us some more specifics about the convertor box perhaps someone who has experience with it can chime in.

Other DJ's using MixEmergency use this box with no problem. But you know how some DJ's can be and not be willing to help. I would appreciate any guidance, thanks!

there could be alot of reasons why the converter box isn't working. it could be a faulty minidisplay port to vga adapter, faulty vga cable, faulty converter or incorrect converter settings. since you said it shows up fine on a computer monitor i'm assuming the adapter and vga cable works. next check your output resolution on your mac. set it to 640x480 or 800x600. also make sure the red end of the vga cable is connected to the converter. if you are using component make sure the switch is on y cp Cr. and try plugging in cables starting with tv, then the converter and finally the macbook.
