hi there, i recently started trying to map the djm 700/800s at my clubs instead of bringing my ttm57 all the time. in some cases, i managed to get the midi connection and mapping to work, while in others it did not work. here's what happend in those cases it did not work: 1. i hooked up my uno midi-to-usb cable (midi-out) to the djm700 and the usb into my mbp. 2. started ssl & m.e. 3. midi on and midi start on the djm700 4. opened the midi tab in m.e. 5. checked that the uno is selected in the midi-inputs tab (nothing is checked in the midi-output) 6. clicked midi-loging 6. moved the (prior mapped and saved as a preset) the faders on the mixer 7. the midi-logging displays a wild combination of numbers everytime i move the faders BUT no green light will flash in the midi-in box next to midi-logging i know this should be the case and it also was in those club setups (also djm 700) when the whole midi-thing worked out fine. i also double-checked wether both the djm and m.e. are operating on the same midi-channel (usualy #1, but i also tried different ones. from what i wrote, what do you guys think the root of my problems is? side-note: it worked on several djms, but it also did not work on more than one, so it should not be a hardware problem on the mixers or usb cable side ...
