Shaky / Bouncy Waveforms Using ME

Ok im using ME 2.1.0 with Serato 2.4.2 with a MacBook Pro OS X 10.6.8, 4 Gigs Ram, 500GB HD that spins at 7200 RPM. The problem is the Waveforms are very shaky and bouncy they dont run smooth, makes me feel like Serato is going to crash, I even am zoomed out of the waves to make the waves run a little slower and smoother but still im noticing it! In ME i have my cache down to like 400MB & im running my output monitor at 1280 x 720 so i have my quality slider down to like 60% i believe or 70% im not sure cuz I cant verify at this time! Its not just this version of ME that i get shaky waveforms i also got them in 2.0.2 & 1.7.2 What do i need to do or check? When i run Serato & ME nothing else is running on my mac. I have airport turned off i dont use Bluetooth, what else can i do??? If anyone can help me out i would highly appreciate it! Thanks! DJ Ricky Lee

There are a number of things you can try to reduce this effect, but it seems the the most effective right now would be to update to using Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion). This isn't officially supported by Serato yet though. Have you tried changing your output refresh rate to something other than 60 Hz? Often this can help.

Nick, I appreciate you responding quickly! I want to upgrade but since its not officially supported by Serato i dont want to run a risk, I play on the Radio every Friday Night and i dont want to have major problems with Serato! I will try to set the output refresh rate to something other than 60hz what about if i lower the resolution of the output monitor? something besides 1280 x 720??? would that make a big difference or not?
