New/Existing Media Bank Functionality

I have 3 items that I'm not sure are already supported or not. If they are not, I'd like to request/find out how to request that they be included in the next release of Mix Emergency: 1. Currently there are only 10 slots in the media bank for pictures. I'd like it if that was expanded to a much higher amount 2. Sometimes when working a fundraiser, wedding, etc. type of function, I need to utilize the media bank as my output rather than the music videos I'm playing. I would like the functionality of selecting the output source. 3. I'm noticing that the media bank is playing the pictures in a random order. Is there a way to choose the order? Mainly I just want to have them played in the order that I've added them. Thanks for all of your help in advanced!! Jason

1. Agree. 2. Will think about it. 3. There's no way to do this right now. Could maybe make this an option. :)

2. This is the most important one as for example a wedding, the bride and groom may want pictures of them during the dinner and then during dancing, the videos. 3. I think the order can be defined by where you drop your pictures in the media bank. I think the functionality is to just make sure that each time a .mp3 (and when you implement #2 lol) is played it just selects the next picture in the bank and resetting to the 1st one once all the pictures have all been used. I would also be more than happy to Pay Pal some money if I had to in order to have all of this functionality :). I think this would also be great advertising to continue to separate your product from the horribly basic functionality of SL-Video. Thanks for being so prompt on your responses!

djnyce, I'm relatively new to quartz scripting. I've been using the twitter quartz and being able to update the @ or #. Would you be able to send an example with reference to a picture/slideshow. The one I downloaded looks like a template and I'm not sure where to update values within it. Thanks!

it's a working Slideshow. It dynamically reads a folder and changes the image. the main parameters is the speed and the directory location. click on directory scanner and change the path /Users/Nyce/Pictures to /Users/<yourusername>/Pictures view parameters and change the speed to your liking.</yourusername>

You can also use this with a camera and an eye-fi card to dump live pics of the night into the folder. The quartz will then detect the new files and add it to the slideshow. I did this at one of my gigs before - everyone loved it!

Also it refreshes automatically if you add/remove photos from the directory. No need to restart the qtz.

Is there any way to have this quart render the picture to be more of a full screen? i'm testing this out now and they seem to be half screen...

The only thing I'm finding with this now is that most pictures do not cover the full screen. If you change the quartz to a ridiculous width, then the pictures don't look so good. Nick, Is it possible to look at functionality under QC to include something like border fill? I'm currently using effects like film projector and border fill letterbox to block out as much of the video as I can, but once I'm done with the slideshow I have to reset the settings on those two effect as I use them mostly on my videos.

I'm not sure what you mean.... You could tile the photos in the Quartz Composition (so the top/bottom or left/right gets filled) - is that what you're after?

Ya either that, or have an effect on the quartz that covers the remainder of the screen black. Imagine you're doing a wedding and playing videos and mp3. During dinner, they want only a slideshow. When using quartz to overlay the slideshow, not all pictures cover then entire screen and now in the background you can see pieces of the video playing.

You can set that slideshow to have a black background.... open it up, go to the "Clear" patch, and set it to black (with no alpha set to 100%).
